Who will I study the course with?
Everything you need to complete the course will be provided by Frisby College. This includes registration with ATHE and weekly online seminars with our business coaches.
What qualification will I gain with this course?
Depending on which course you choose, upon successful completion, you will receive either the ATHE Level 3 Award in Entrepreneurship or the ATHE Level 3 Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
Who is ATHE UK (Awards for Training and Higher Education UK)?
ATHE UK is a British National Awarding Body offering Ofqual regulated qualifications in various areas of study.
What is the difference between the Award and Certificate in Entrepreneurship?
The Award is an 8 credit qualification requiring approximately 80 hours of total study time from you to complete the qualification. The Certificate is a 16 credit qualification allowing you to choose more course units.

What is the difference between ATHE Awards, Certificates and Diplomas?
Each type of qualification specifies a different number of total study hours involved. As a reference, an Extended Diploma includes 120 credits and is equivalent to one academic year of full-time study at college or university. The Award and Certificate are smaller qualifications designed to be completed over a much quicker period of time.
Does this course lead to an internationally recognised qualification?
Yes, once you have successfully completed the course you will have gained a qualification regulated by Ofqual England. ATHE qualifications are accepted by many institutions and employment markets worldwide.
What is Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation)?
Ofqual is a non-ministerial department of the British Government that regulates qualifications, exams and tests in England.
How long does the course take to complete?
Our course for the Award in Entrepreneurship runs for 2 weeks and the Certificate in Entrepreneurship 4 weeks. For both courses learners are expected to complete 4 credits of work each week.
What happens if I don't finish by the end of the course?
If you need more time to finish your course tasks or make improvements to meet qualification requirements then your registration as a Frisby College learner will be extended, however there will be no additional seminars provided after your course schedule is completed. Your course advisor will provide ongoing support until your qualification is complete.
How will I learn throughout the course?
You will have access to EduGrowth's virtual learning platform where you will find all the materials which include text, video and audio. Each unit is broken down into smaller sections with directed study tasks for you to complete. These are practical activities relating to your business or business idea. You will be supported throughout your course by a Frisby College Coach who provides weekly online seminars for course participants, giving you constructive feedback, support and guidance. Upon completion of each unit your work will be assessed against the standards stated in the qualification specification.
How much do courses cost?
The fee for the Award in Entrepreneurship is £350 and the fee for the Certificate in Entrepreneurship is £500. These fees include registration with ATHE for your chosen qualification and postage of your certificate upon successful completion.
